I have a very rare autoantibody that took me a lot of Drs visits to figure out. The only reason I discovered it is because I spent many many hours pouring through my DNA from 23andme and stumbled on a study highlighting the antibody and then asked for the test that no Dr thought to do.

Don’t you hate it when you have to do the doctor’s work for him?

I am sick of the blank stares I get when I ask about research I have read on the internet addressing my mast cell disorder.

Just who has the medical degree here and who is getting paid to do a job?

I had a cardiologist who once told me that it was best to leave the diagnosis to those with the medical degree . In theory he is right. In reality he is a clown. You can’t leave it to the Doctors. They would have never figured this out until it was so bad it was showing up in Frontline tests like CK.

A pox on all of them who are so arrogant as to not listen to the patient

Mastocitosis is not hereditary (so we are told)... It is just that my grandfather, dad, sister, daughter and myself have it. All with the same basic symptoms.
