Evening, folks. Sorry to miss the party - been a little preoccupied, as you can imagine. Where you going in FL, Vision? Riding your scooter or flying down? Gina, we just had the Queen Mother of all storms come through here a couple of hours ago. The heat has been beastly, and they're calling for more of the same tomorrow. We had a big branch come down in the front yard. Connie and I wanted to spend an afternoon fishing at the lake but this heat has turned us into a couple of hermits until the heat indices come back down below triple digits. We finally found a team of pool monkeys to come service us. They did half a job and called back today to try and upsell us. Connie said no, no, and NO - get your asses back here and finish the other half of the job you started, and don't forget the algaecide this time. This pool has been neglected so long for lack of chemicals (Thanks to Covid, Gropey Joe, and supply chain issues), we might have it ready for a Labor Day cookout. (Did some Jack Daniels baby back ribs on the gas side last night - YUM)
As yu may have sussed out, Connie is still on short-term disability, and is still suffering from heart issues. She has more testing next Monday, and will consult with the cardiologist about converting to long-term, then we're going to get my disability attorney's legal eagles to determine what SSA options she has, because she'll never be back to 100% again. As much as I'm a homebody and love having her here, we're beginning to pluck each other's nerves. I hid all the gun ammo because she's getting cabin fever and has that glint in her eye...........LOL ((j/k) I'm hoping she gets approved so she can drive me to the neurologist the next day. If something isn't done, I'll be in a wheelchair a year from now, if not sooner.
