Del Rio’s mistake was apologizing, although I imagine he was told ‘apologize publicly or pack your things and go’.
At some point ya simply gotta pack your things and go.
It’s easy for me to say, but wish he would’ve packed his stuff and left. Don’t think Del Rio is seeing the big picture here, he’s dead man walking anyway. First sign of trouble on defense, media will pounce, and he’ll be fired. Can’t remember the bandits name, but his phrase “I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees” comes to mind.
He should have stood firm and told them to fire him. he has a solid First Amendment Right case.
