It’s a decision law enforcement leaders call irresponsible, dangerous, and outrageous.
This week, a Ramsey County judge reduced the bail for a Minneapolis man accused of shooting at police officers from $5 million to $100,000.
On Sunday night, a trooper with the Minnesota State Patrol attempted a traffic stop on 30-year-old Pablo Nava Jaimes.
Lesson learned. Return fire. Keep shooting until threat is alleviated.
Some times people forget bail/bond is only there to make sure someone shows up for court.
Anything above that is a punishment and there fore excessive.
“Soros” will blow 100k but not 5 mil.
These commies need a new location. Like six feet under.

Right. The question here is whether or not this guy should be given a bond in the first place. Seeing as he didn’t show up for his last hearing, there should have been no bond. Keep him locked up until trial.

You make a very good point. While excessive bail is a tool of tyranny, the facts indicate that he shouldn’t have been given bail in the first place.

I’m predicting a bidding war between the Post and NBC News for your services. Bad for them, but good for you.
Started getting campaign text messages yesterday. Got one for a guy running for county attorney. They asked for $ after telling me that the candidate was pro choice on abortion and was in favor of more gun laws.
Had a little fun with my reply. A shame I can’t repeat it here.
That judge is just *begging* for these officers to take the law into their own hands and neutralize the threat.
I would suggest that the way they might do this is to agree to a “keyword” ahead of time, that when an officer yells it, all the officers point their (go pro type) cameras away, and one of them yells “gun!” before lethally shooting the perp with an ‘armpit shot’ away from their camera. Then put a ‘drop gun’ or knife on the dead perp.
Just one of a dozen or more ways for creative cops to act in the name of justice.

It is a long stream (4-7 hours typical)in the form of a ride along.
He cruises with Pat Scott as they hunt stolen cars and the miscreants involved. Occasional chases happen live too.
He has pointed out more than one recidivist perp in handcuffs and mentioned he will often see them again.
He tells some good stories about St. Paul during a typical stream too. St Paul is a good looking city even at night. I marvel at the excellent displays of church architeture as he rolls by.
