Mike Lee seems to be an honest and earnest person, but he does not excite or intrigue. It should not matter, but it does. Communication is more efficient when you know how to grab and hold somebody’s attention.

His friend and college Ted Cruz is more at ease with the Retail Politics side of public service. And there are a lot of people who who say Ted rubs them the wrong way. His brand of Nerd Humor and overly guilded put-downs can quickly become annoying.

There’s an op Ed in the NY Post today on court-packing by Lee (it may be an excerpt from his book) and it’s very good, very worth reading.

The Constitution is amendable. So the main reason (imo) that organized crime, front-ended by a constitutionally undefined political parties, push for stacking the Supreme Court is to subvert the will of the Article V state supermajority as enumerated in the Constitution.
