I was flying for a commercial airline and my crew and I were in the waiting area preparing to board our flight to somewhere very south The cleaning crew was getting ready to board and the passengers from the previous flight were still deplaning - the flight had come from Mexico, I think. There were several people and children deplaning that were covered with bumps and several of us immediately knew it was chickenpox. They had not scabbed over yet so were very contagious. I asked one of the agents if they noticed and they shrugged.
THIS is how pandemics start. These sick people should not have been allowed to board and infect our country.

Three Marines I knew were involved in a serious traffic accident in Mexico, sewn up bandaged, and kept overnight in the local hospital.
Returned to post and reported to sick call.
Two of them had uncorrected internal damage and had to be opened up CLEANED and repaired; for four days inpatient.
I don’t think they kept the third one overnight.
In Mexico, they were good to go and released.
