My Ruger LC9sPro fits my pocket about as well as my .380 lcp . They’re both good to have but if you want 9mm (to punch out a lung I guess) the LC9sPro won’t take up much more room I have both for concealed carry. The LC9s as my primary in an IWB holster, and the LCP in my back pocket.

Yep. Some folks advise using wasp spray or bear spray. I never quite understood that. Most of those products have a warning in the side saying it’s against the law to use in a manner not intended. Bingo. Use wasp spray and you can gar-un-tee the DA will go after you with that bit of info.

If someone is throwing themselves at your front door trying to break it down…..if wasp spray is the handiest object, it is what you’ll use when the door bursts open.

“...but I do have a new bear-proof garbage can...”
So...just drag the perp’s body to, and place in, your new bear-proof garbage can. Set it out at the curb on pickup day.

Why? Because you can. Anything bigger you'll leave it behind most of the time. I carry a full size Glock 17 (40 Cal) every day. Even around the property.

OK, so you are in your kitchen and a thug breaks in. You don’t have a concealed carry, don’t own a gun and the only can of pepper spray you own is in your camping trailer parked in the driveway.
So you are supposed to let the bad guy kill you because the can of wasp spray that is within reach has a warning label on it?
How silly can this thread get?
If you carried wasp spray in your back pocket on your trip to the ice cream store, yes but maybe. That would possibly show intent.
But in your home, yard or tool shed where you have no means of defense other than whatever instrument you can get your hands on, there are no rules.
The only rule that counts is that you must be able to prove that you were really in danger of losing your life or in danger of severe bodily harm.

It has a gun rack on one side and swing-away gun rest on the other.
So it fires whatever I bring with. I guess my 30-06 would be the largest caliber I have right now.

EXACTLY.
They can stick their “outside intended usage” where the sun don’t shine.
You use whatever weapon you can.
I guess one CAN use a wood chair over a thug’s head because there is no label telling us about intended usage?
Hey, since this seems to be the law: why not sue all those riotous thugs who went on endlessly causing assault and destruction with whatever they could? Unintended usage! Sue those bastards!

I carry a 365Xl and its shockingly easy to conceal but big enough to feel like a primary sidearm.
Highly recommend

So...just drag the perp’s body to, and place in, your new bear-proof garbage can. Set it out at the curb on pickup day. Absolutely WRONG!
You place the perp's body in the bear-friendly garbage can - you know: The kind of can that's easy for bears to open.
After all, bears wanna eat, too!

The only rule that counts is that you must be able to prove that you were really in danger of losing your life or in danger of severe bodily harm. The only rule that counts is "No, Officer. I haven't seen anyone of that description around here recently! Oh, by the way: Wanna come take a look at the new flower bed I've made?"
