The problem with "...identifying potential threats..." in government run schools is government is would be the one determining what a "potential threat" is. It'd be like having Richard Scrushy or Bernie Maddoff be the one to determine who the accounting frauds are.

It is the average citizen who will be identifying potential threats. It will be up to law enforcement to investigate and DO THEIR DAMNED JOB!
