BTW, all 50 states have laws that allow a court to involuntarily commit a person deemed by a court to be a danger to themselves and others. This also allows the court to seize firearms from those same individuals. The difference between those laws and red flag laws is that the require that the individual be able to face his/her accuser in front of a judge with a lawyer representing them and a mental health professional to testify. So we already have so-called red flag laws.
