A Californian is going viral after sharing the biggest culture shocks she faced after moving to Iowa.

The clip comes courtesy of Katie Bishop (@katphishhbishh), a podcaster and CRNA student now living in Iowa. Her video, about the most surprising differences between her old state and new one, now has over 800,000 views.

It’s the latest entry in a long line of posts about culture shocks TikTokers have faced after moving.

The county surveyor was checking the property lines and had to inform Ethel that the original survey was so inaccurate that instead of being in Minnesota she actually lived in Iowa now!

There is a guy on youtube that now lives in the USA (but from England) that does a thing about “life across the pond” or something and discusses various differences between England and America. Pretty funny, and interesting. All in all he appreciates America a lot.

It is a large, semi-rural state. And you are right: Pretty much everyone outside NYC hates NYC.

It’s that like here in Illinois. Illinois is a pretty rural state, and everyone in the state who is outside Chicago hates Chicago.
