Thank God she didn’t move here 🤪
Wait till she “discovers” an Iowa winter.
LOL
Or...”Ya Know”!...Ya Know?
There is a guy on youtube that now lives in the USA (but from England) that does a thing about “life across the pond” or something and discusses various differences between England and America. Pretty funny, and interesting. All in all he appreciates America a lot.

Gag me with a spoon, y’all!
Diversity is fun isn’t it? Now you have to deal with other people who don’t believe with you or have different cultures and values that you have. Suck it up!
“Like” and “ya know”. I can’t stand either one.
Also the ‘F’ word is used way too much. Just loses it’s effectiveness.
Like, you know, like literallehhh…
Lady, you moved to Iowa. It is called by Liberals Flyover Country but I’d rather be in a town in Iowa than in a city in California. And no, they do not have In N Out there. 🤓
Not to put Iowan’s down, I actually don’t know anybody but this is a good place to put this joke.
Years ago, I remember a stand up comic said Iowa stands for Idiots out walking around.
Make of that as you may.
The divide is between urban and rural, not between states.
What I am waiting for is when California girl shoplifts less than $900 from an Iowa convenience store. Boy is she in for a rude awakening!
As seems to be the norm with most Republican Governors, and other government types, there seems to be this undying desire to flood their states with liberal tech people, as if they’re the only ones with money.
Des Moines is being transformed. Toss in the college towns and pretty soon, Iowa has a pretty sizable Democrat/Liberal population. As with so many other states, it only takes a few places, densely populated by liberals to change the whole complexion of the state. The Left may not control the state legislature or many of the counties, but their numbers will control the statewide offices of Governor, Lt Governor, AG, SecState.
Des Moines - The New Destination for Hipsters ... https://www.exitrealtynorthstar.com/blog/2014/10/17/des-moines-the-new-destination-for-hipsters
I am from Minnesota and grew up less then 10 miles from Minneapolis. In the mid 80’s I was up in Brainerd which is north about 120 miles away.
I was there on a stop on the way to Backus and a lake cabin and walked up the sidewalk from a motel of someone we knew owned and saw a diner with all the teenagers in it. It was like Happy Days.
Further up the sidewalk was a strip joint which I guess was like Happy Ending for the older guys.....
You get away from the “Big City” and you discover it is different yet the same in some areas.
Plus, here in Iowa we grow real men. Not sissy California, soy eating, man bun pussies.
A friggin Greek tragedy.
