Sarcophogi, or coffins, still sealed and containing the good-condition mummified remains of ancient Egyptians, are seen on display at the Saqqara Necropolis near Cairo, in Egypt, in a photo provided by the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, May 30, 2022EGYPTIAN MINISTRY OF TOURISM AND ANTIQUITIES

Let me tell you ‘bout my buddy, he’s three thousand years old
He’s wrapped in bandages and covered in moldy debris
My undead mummy and me, hmm-hmm
If a bully ever tries to poke me in the eye
I’ll introduce him to my decomposing guy and he’ll flee
From my undead mummy and me
All the kids at school are gonna have a conniption
When they get a load of my funky Egyptian MC
My undead mummy and me, yeah

Wow!! Those are in excellent condition. Thanks for sharing SunkenCiv!!
I’m going to put a curse on anyone digging me up.
The living exhibiting fascination with the dead, interesting. Trajectory of all life is terminal, so perhaps preoccupation with historic proof of universal inevitability makes some sense.
Wow, did you watch the video of the celebration and transportation of the mummies to the new museum south of Cairo? What a dazzling display. It was very well done.
The Egyptian President standing at attention and the commentator remarking that he takes pride in the nation’s history got my attention. You sure wouldn’t find any Democrat in the USA taking such pride in our history!
I bet the mummies all vote for democRATs...more than once to make up for lost time.
I see a lot of mummies, are there any daddies?
Okay. I know...

Impressive!
I read that in the late 1800s people would grind up mummies and stir the powder into their food and eat it. But then, in the 1920s radium was sold as a miracle drug.
They are always finding ‘mummies’ but where are the ‘dummies’?
