Only if he misgendered the poor girl.
If you don’t mind me asking, how old is your son?
I’m in my thirties.
You would have gotten peanuts contaminants on your hands and clothes. You would have made the problem worse from the perspective of your daughter.
I guess you would have had to stay away from her for the entire duration of the flight after you took away the peanuts.
How long would it have taken you to be decontaminated? With a sensitivity to smell, you would have had to at least change clothes and take a shower before you could get near her again.
Your proposed solution is not well thought out.
How about this? You were a f***ing idiot for putting your daughter at such a risk. What do you do about people who had eaten peanut butter or cookies *BEFORE* the flight, and you didn't know about them?
Now I suspect the guy could have been walking around with crushed peanuts in his pockets while wearing peanut hair spray, and the daughter wouldn't have reacted because the mother wouldn't have reacted either, because neither one of them would have seen it.
But I could be mistaken.
Being this sensitive they shouldn’t have left home without protection.
Peanuts were “in play” as they boarded. So are you thinking that at that moment, there was a safe amount of dust in the air and only subsequently eating two bags triggered death?
That’s a pretty fine level of sensitivity they were risking to tolerate. I’m surprised they didn’t have a device like a geiger counter to measure the contamination in the air!
Oh, I could - but they'd arrest me as soon as we landed.
Still, a Life Sentence at my age doesn't mean much.
How about this?
"I'm allergic to perfume, hairspray, cologne and good smelling soap. Everyone who uses those products must stay off the airplane!"
I think that if you were being rational, you would say:
"No, the person with such an extreme sensitivity needs to stay the hell off the airplane."
But I could be mistaken.
Interesting statement considering your first to me was that only a few molecules triggers your allergy.
The molecules would still be present even if everyone complied, and you would still board in that case?
Sounds like your the idiot, or your molecule claim is a load of crap.
NOBODY want’s to take personal responsibility for anything today. The Nanny state mindset. Big government, big plane, big x is supposed to take care of you.
The world would have been a better place if the USA had kept 100 feet away from Jimmy Carter.
Worst president in history before Obama and Biden.
Especially since HEPA filters on airplanes are supposed to be as good or better than hospital operating rooms. Remember last year when Airplane CEOs said that these filters make airplane passengers safer from being exposed to Covid than they would at any other public space?
Reactions to peanut during air travel: can anaphylaxis be due to inhalation?
I don't smell any peanuts, but I do smell a rat...
There are no peanut allergies in China or Korea. So why the USA? I guess it is just Asians are immune? But wait, there are no peanut allergies in Isreal. They are not Asian.
What is it in the US, UK, Canada and Australia that we suddenly have all these peanut allergies we didn’t have before 1990? What di dour nation do to us that caused this?
It is like Asthma — nearly unknown before 1950 but at epidemic levels by the 1990s. What did our nation do to us that caused this?
Click link below for a picture that shows that pediatic asthma was almost non-existent before 1946 and peanut allergies were almost non-existent before 1990.

Cater would have had the FAA order everyone on the plane to wear a sweater.
Okay, I looked at his message to which you responded. *HE* is sounding reasonable, while you are sounding less so.
I don’t smell any peanuts, but I do smell a deep pocket...
Mom probably gave the girl peanuts to setup a lawsuit.
Interesting find.

I really should ignore ignorant comments. I don’t know why I have to respond but whenever I see such blatant ignorance I have to ask; have you never heard of Lyndon Baines Johnson?
I’m sure he understood it but I’m also sure he understood he was being presented with an absurd situation.
It sounds pretty clear when you generalize by saying “something for the safety of another passenger”, but the specific situation is what I’m considering.
E.g., if a stewardness came to you and said “I need you to turn your shirt inside out for the safety of another passenger”. Would you do it without question?
And then in the 2030’s coming up, there will be a generation of people with Shingles, since getting chicken Pox is a virus and stays dormant in the body, like many other viruses.
Yes. Loving your kid so much that you aren't going to risk someone accidentally killing them with peanut odor is totally bat$h*t crazy.
