It sounds like AirTags would be great to find lost or stolen pets. I'm dogsitting for a few weeks, and the dog has an AirTag. Every few hours the tag does a series of low volume chirps. Don't know why.

Probably searching for a nearby wi-fi signal so it could use it without permission to transmit data back to the mother ship.
