I hate spellcheck.
Civil war, not civil servant.
I understood ;-)
Think Sarajevo!
Company went to a very highly-rated public high school in an upscale suburban area of the once-great State of Californication.
To participate in a “careers” day where companies and colleges send recruiters to answer student questions and pass out candy and brochures (also to hire those interested, or make contacts to help them through college studies for hiring later).
Have never seen a bunch of stoned-out, ignorant (lacking in any learning whatsoever) young people. The school is surrounded by $3 million houses and many of the students drive home in $80,000 new cars.
These kids couldn’t hold down a job mopping the floor at McD’s (if that duty is ever done)
Really sad . The teachers who came by weren’t much better, incidentally
That too.
“ Every child should spend his first twelve years living and working on a farm before he is permitted to visit a large city.”
Pshaw. I grew up in a NYC suburb the nuns got it through to us what kind of world we would live in if we did not defend our freedom. We regularly visited our old relatives. Everyone dressed up and we had good food. We still revolted but their being dressed well and bringing treats made it better. Good memories of these wonderful characters
They reiterated what it would be like if people like Hitler, whom they fought against, would take over. And they would if we let them.
Still, it’s we baby boomers who are giving it away. My friends and relatives cannot see the dictator wanna be regime right before their eyes. 60+ years olds stupid as a box of rocks. “Trump is bad.” “This country is racist and hates homosexuals.” “Marriage is stupid” That’s baby boomers just as much as it is anyone.
Public school or they rejected the morality and common sense, love of country and it’s freedom they learned in Catholic school for the sake of birth control
They side with enemy countries for this not realizing those countries would tak over their freedoms and reject their fleeting ideals.
They’re illogical and uninformed. They rely on charismatic newscasters to tell them what’s going on with no regard for the foundation and basis for the country. They’d give it up after a half minute speech on $40 billion to a country which is neither a friend, ally nor democracy and who’s suffering people won’t see a penny of it
Parents have rejected the idea of educating their kids but it is parents’ responsibility not any institution least of all that of politically driven government
Since Red vs Blue seems to (wrongly) be the accepted metric, let me pose this.
My state, WV, is considered a RED state. In 2020 WV voted for President Trump by a rough margin of about 68% to 32%. Now with a population of just under two million, that would mean that in my RED state I have about 640,000 enemies, that three out of every ten people I meet is my mortal enemy, and mind you, this is in a RED state.
Should a true civil war come to America, Rwanda of the 90s will look like a paradise.
As another FReeper once posted, in order to partake in a CW today in America, one must be ready to shoot one’s, postman, neighbor, pastor, fellow church member and/or Walmart greeter, in the face.....think about that.
I agree. It would be bloody and in the end, the “winner” would have to govern a a broken nation.
I’m not watching this one. But my attitude generally is it’s a scam and it’s true all at the same time lol.
K through 12 government school education is astoundingly bad. I had to deal with those clowns in the late ‘90s and it was appalling. I shudder to think how much worse it’s gotten in 22 years
