I know a lot of people seem to have issues with the USPS, but my service has always been excellent.

Mine too. Except for all that junk mail. My only complaint. It is a waste. Literally

Absolutely.
The USPS is an institution that has always “delivered “ for me also.👍

“I know a lot of people seem to have issues with the USPS, but my service has always been excellent.”

I’ve had Rural Post most of my life. Always with great service.
For over half my life the rural drivers carried stamps in their cars in case someone needed to mail something but didn’t have a stamp. Just put the correct change for the postage in the jar lid you kept in the mailbox and the carrier would slap the appropriate stamps on and everyone was happy.
I hear the Post Office frowns on that type of thing and has forbidden the drivers with even the most rural routes to carry stamps.

I now live in an apartment with many units.
Five days out of the week we get great service, it’s the one day out of six that she’s off is the one that suffers. Lousy.

At least the Post Office Department in the cabinet was an example of the government at Washington performing one of its actual Constitutional functions
