Ford will add 6,200 factory jobs in Michigan, Missouri and Ohio as it prepares to build more electric vehicles and roll out two redesigned combustion-engine models.
The company says it will invest $3.7 billion in the three states between now and 2026. It also will convert about 3,000 temporary workers to full-time status with pay raises and benefits.

Not really. Scotty Kilmer on youtube mostly looks at the door VIN of cars to see where they were made.
He discovered why the Ford Bronco S has more problems than the non Sport. Because the S’ is made in mexico where they get paid sh&t wages. They dont care about quality. The other Regular Bronco is made in MI, and there are reportedly less problems.
Yeah I meant to mention I doubt there are many vehicles if any that are 100% manufactured in the home country.
CAUSE however are primarily American organizations I do believe.
CBUs not cause.....stupid auto correct
Shouldn’t you be on a movie set somewhere bro?
Was hoping for the same.
*stomping foot* I do NOT WANT an electric vehicle, dang it!
Why? studio meetings for the start of FAGGOT MONTH have rainpuke flags greeting you at the door and everyone “dude” is dressed like a woman at the lobby?
Stay in FL and keep safe from this BS..
“1.5 liters is equal to 1500 CC’s or 91.5 cubic inches.
In contrast my Harley engine is 1584 CC or 96 cubes..”
And the Ford gets 3x the hp!
As soon as gas returns to normal price levels all the demand for EVs will peter out to nothing.
EVs are a solution looking for a problem.
Ford isn’t wasting their money.
It’s likely wasting taxpayers’ money.
“As soon as gas returns to normal price levels all the demand for EVs will peter out to nothing.”
Even when gas prices were low, Tesla could not satisfy demand.
There is an upper limit to demand for EVs. Not many people, can afford boutique vehicle.
EVs are a solution looking for a problem.

But 6,000 people will have a job creating the problem
We have had EVs since the 19th century. They’re called electric trains.
As soon as gas returns to normal price levels all the demand for EVs will peter out to nothing.

Golf courses, a few warehouses, and other very limited type
travel are about the only users of EVs. They would be good
for that type operations that have long times for recharge.
Just as long as the jobs aren’t going to China.

Most people only travel a few miles each day and can top off in their garage.
For trips Tesla Supercharging can get you 200 miles in 15 minutes.
If you read between the lines in the article, EV production is not the dominant reason for the hiring.
If ICE engines were on such a decline, they’d just move current workers to EV plants. Instead they’re hiring new workers. (Oh, and if EV was so simple to make, why the need for more workers?)
Logic says Ford realizes it needs to continue to invest in and build ICE engines.
Creating new job positions and finding willing workers to fill them are two different things.
In five minutes I can get enough gas for 500 miles.
