A trio of fearless thieves emptied the shelves inside a high-end makeup store in Los Angeles as stunned shoppers watched in amazement amid the nation’s ongoing shoplifting crisis, according to a video clip posted online.
The 47-second recording shows the crooks wearing hoodies over their heads as they grab various cosmetics and stuff them into black trash bags.
“Oh, my God. Oh, my f–king God,” one woman said while recording the heist on her cellphone.
“F–king lowlifes.”
At least two workers stood nearby as the scene played out, then followed the shoplifters as they scurried toward the exit before calmly strolling off with their haul.
The caper took place at the Sephora outlet in the Los Cerritos Center mall around 9 p.m. Saturday and was among several similar incidents reported there that night, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department told Fox 11 LA.
A Forever 21 store was the first business targeted, followed by the Sephora store, the LASD said.

I am trying to think of a scenario in which this problem improves or goes-away.
I can’t imagine one that doesn’t involve extreme economic dislocation and extreme violence against such criminals, at least for a short period.
The breakdown of law-and-order is both very predictable in its outcomes, but unpredictable about who exactly is affected.

We are heading for a society in which there is a permanent pipeline funneling money from the producers to the slackers, who then are empowered to hate the producers.
Wait! We’re already there!
The problem is, vendors need to make up for their losses. So, the expense is passed on to consumers, who DO pay for what they want.

Paying customers’ purchases are padded to cover the vendors’ loss

Other than calling 911, that’s exactly what they should have done. No employee should risk his life when the thieves won’t be prosecuted anyway.
Copes would be there in a instant in my small town. Could never happen.
But it's my understanding that that's the only major incident to happen there in recent times.

No doubt. Odds are they vote for the retards who pass these laws in the first place.
Send them on a one way ticket to Mars as punishment.
Maybe that is where the trash needs to go.
There is an obvious solution to this. Change the stores to the old style stores.
Everything is behind the counter and the clerks will fetch you the merchandize.
The store can be also strengthened by using security glass, crates etc.
That would be very inefficient and expensive.
But it may be the only solution in some areas.

Yes. This. We have become a nation of poorly educated, intellectually and physically lazy, self-centered, immoral, lowlifes. And, our society is celebrating this sloth.

These stores are gong to have to go mail-order only. Or they could have some sort of barrier system. The clerk is behind a secure barrier. You pay for your item. Then you wait while the clerk gets it.
I can’t see anything else working. Because most folks in the big cities are going to continue to vote for “progressives”. And why not? Most of those voters aren’t store owners.
Does the $950 rule apply here? Being Sephora, shouldn’t take much to hit that limit so a bunch of thieves will be needed to spread the “wealth” and not get convicted.
