A North Carolina preschool teacher has been caught using unapproved LGBTQ flash cards - which include images of a pregnant man - to teach 3- and 4-year-old children colors.
The teacher, who has not been identified, was found out to have used them on the preschoolers after a constituent of State Representative Erin Pare contacted the Republican about the cards at Ballantine Elementary School in Wake County.
Paré contacted the principal of the school to see if she was aware of the use of the cards, which showcase LGBTQ relationships and also go through what each of the colors in the Pride Flag mean.
The cards are made by a now-defunct company called ByUs Box, which also made sets of flash cards showcasing non-binary and transgender animals, gender neutral nursery rhymes and a 'Blackness Collection.' The company was created by two women who said they were inspired by the murder of George Floyd.
North Carolina Speaker of the House Tim Moore and Paré say that Principal Lutashia Dove - who was unaware they were being used - verified that the teacher had been using the cards outside the approved curriculum.
Dove then 'took possession of the cards' and contacted the local superintendent and human resources.
'I am grateful that a concerned constituent reached out and that this issue is being addressed in a swift and professional manner by Ballentine Elementary School,' said Paré.
'Schools should only be using age-appropriate materials, and these flashcards clearly do not meet that standard for a pre-school classroom,' she added.

IMO someone needs find a rope. Pre school? No it is daycare but that is another subject.
Pretty soon, someone is going to tell us that their kids go to one of the good schools in the state, the best even and their teachers would never do this.

When our Actual President spoke at the NRA convention he proposed teachers be trained and equipped for concealed carry to prevent further massacres. I couldn't help but think over half of them would quit before indoctrinating in the presence of firearms. So glad "virtual learning" inadvertently clued in so many parents of abuses passed off as teaching.
Not releasing that information also legally protects the district. It may not satisfy your curiosity, but that's why it is done. I'm pretty sure the information is out there if you choose to dig; someone on Facebook or other discussion group perhaps.
