The felon grandfather said he knew nothing about the guns. Did the grandfather give the maniac the $6,000.00?

Who the hell knows what attachments and custom parts it had? $8k is still incredibly steep, unless he purchased a competition rifle.
At least one small answer: You do not need a drivers license to buy a gun. You do need a state-issued ID.
And part of another: Daniel Defense sells AR-15s that are a great deal less than $8000. https://danieldefense.com/rifles/ar-15-rifles.html?p=1
Another part of the same question, possibly: Kid is living at grandma’s house, possibly rent-free, since until this month, he was a minor child. He’s also been working at Wendy’s at some point. With no real expenses, even part-time at minimum wage, he could eventually have bought a couple of AR-15’s, magazines, and ammo. And all the fast food places here in my area are offering starting wages upwards of $12-15 an hour. A plate carrier and plates can be had for under $300, and there are folks on YouTube making their own...
None of these are definitive answers. Just possibilities.
As to the grand-father potential, possibly someone trying to make up for not being there for the kid before could have provided some or all of the money. Could also have been trying to draw the kid into whatever he’s into. Be nice to know what he was convicted of, and how long he’s been out, and what he’s been doing with himself since he got out. I was under the impression that he doesn’t actually living with the grandmother, but could be wrong. Dude may be completely innocent, for perhaps the first time in his life. Or not.
Not necessarily. Procedure for buying firearms online now is to have them shipped to a local FFL holder, usually a gun shop or pawn shop that also does guns. They run the NICS check and process the 4473 for a nominal fee. Seller, if not an FFL themselves, ships through a similar shop in their local area. Pretty sure Daniel Defense is an FFL, so can ship and on their own.
Jeez, Michael Savage in the 24 hours between his two tweets increased the punk’s ammo purchase from 500 rounds to 1,700 rounds and changed his purchase of a cheap tactical vest to purchase of body armor.
Folks here seem to forget that money can be saved up to buy things. Particularly by 18 year psychopaths who don’t have a single expense in the world.
A Daniel Defence goes for around $2k.
When I was a kid I worked part time, back when minimum wage was like a dollar or something, and I could accumulate a few hundred bucks to buy something I wanted.
Figuring part time, 20 hours a week, at $10 an hour, he could have been taking home 180 a week. Within a few months, he could have easily accumulated a couple thousand bucks.
Is that anti bullshit spray? 😀🤭😊😆
There was some talk that one of his rifles was a “Daniel Defense” AR-15, which go for $2k or so

I also don't think it takes a lot of skill or training to shoot kids and 2 teachers at close range in a confined space.
Possibly there is a cartel connection in Uvalde and he did work for them.
“””KILLER KID SHOOTER - Who Paid for the Guns and ammo?”””
I was asking the same question within hours after the shooting occurred.
Somehow I doubt that working at Wendy’s was a sufficient source of funds.
Grandpa, who is a felon, is probably is real deep doo-do0.
:)
$15/hr x 25 hrs/week = $375/wk x 26wks = $9750.00 for 6 months.
Rent = $0.00
Elec = $0.00
Cell = $35/mth
Make and model of rifle and scope given as well as cost of them brand new. Many gun shops sell used items as well.
They were Danial Defense rifles. It would cost around $3200 for both of them combined.
Imagine obeying such an order.
No sympathy for said cop.
No serial number listed, no sales date. That looks like a fake receipt.
Yeah but he was buying Weed as well
Yes, it ‘tis.
