Vanity: Why is Anyone Surprised?

We are now finding out that Uvalde School Police Chief Arredondo is a supporter of DemonRat Beto O’Rourke. The mayor of Uvalde is a DemonRat and I expect the rest of the city government is, too. Since the DemonRats are the party of death, and they have no qualms about ripping a tiny pre-born baby from its mother’s womb, why should we be surprised that they would delay rescuing post-born children from slaughter? The DemonRats do not care if innocent lives are lost, as long as their agenda is furthered. Abortion is not about “a mother’s right to choose” or about “a clump of cells.” It is about the destruction of innocent human life. The carnage in Uvalde demonstrates that DemonRats’ only concern is the sacrifice of innocent children - pre-born or post-born - it’s all the same to them. It shows what lengths they will go to to further their agenda, and we must call them out for their actions: pre-meditated murder. As God-fearing citizens, we must shun them completely: refuse to communicate with, do business with, or patronize them in any way. Our society must be reclaimed and cleansed from this filth. In the olden days when I was young (yeah, I’m a boomer) various strategies worked to keep society decent: shame, ridicule, strict adherence to rules (including the Ten Commandments), clear guidelines and expectations, defined boundaries, and reverence for our Creator. But only by shutting the murderous DemonRats out of our society will we be able to begin to bring back any semblance of normalcy and decency.

Wasn’t it the mayor who excoriated Veto at the press hearing?

Finding info on the politcal affilations of the playes has been difficult, but this article notes:

Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin, a Republican

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/uvalde-texas-residents-react-beto-orourke-abbott-press-conference

The city website does not list party affiliation for the council members which leads me to think they have non partisan races.

Another article noted:

McLaughlin is a conservative Republican, but all Texas mayors run on a nonpartisan ballot.

They got part of a gun control loaf in 1934, half a loaf in 1968, nibbled around on the rest till today when they want the rest of the loaf.

What kind of person is drawn to run a school police force?

“... only by shutting the murderous DemonRats out of our society will we be able to begin to bring back any semblance of normalcy and decency.”

And add to that their twin “The RINO”. It was that “BIG TENT” thing that the RINO’S came up with for fundraising in the eighties/nineties IMO.

"The question I have why not break the windows to get in.."

It depends.. If there are children still alive in there (or if it was unknown whether there were still kids alive), it would be a huge risk to their (children's) lives.

On the other hand, if all kids where already murdered (and it is known they are all dead), then there is no reason not to do it that way (nor no reason not to blow the door inward).

Interestingly, in Japan, each classroom has a long aluminum pole with a semi-circle attached to the end to trap an intruder.

Each classroom has opposite doors (inside doors and outside doors), and a panic button on the wall.

And, at least in elementary, each kid has a panic fob (fob with a string like thingy, that when separated, sounds a very loud and ear piercing sound), that is detached and activated very easily...
(and very annoying)

(After lots of searching because I don't know what the pole is called, I found a tiny picture of one):

On the other hand, there isn't a gun issue in Japan, and the pole would have been no use back here in the states against a gun.

BUT, a gun in the teacher's desk would certainly help...

Thanks for that!

The doors, inside and outside, and a panic-alarm that unlocks them sound like a great idea. The kids could flee if there was an intruder, or the “teacher” started in on an anti-white, racist rant.

Arming the “teacher” is not longer a good idea. I am glad that the school boards are not armed.

"The doors, inside and outside, and a panic-alarm that unlocks them sound like a great idea."

Almost, although many schools DO have that type of entrance/exit at the school's main entrance(because of THIS guy, back in 2001.

"Mamoru Takuma (宅間 守[a], Takuma Mamoru, 23 November 1963 – 14 September 2004) was a Japanese mass murderer who killed eight children in the Osaka school massacre in Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, on 8 June 2001.[1]

Takuma had a long history of mentally disturbed and anti-social behavior, and an extensive criminal record including a conviction for rape.[2] He stabbed to death eight students and seriously wounded fifteen others at Ikeda Elementary School in a knife attack that lasted several minutes.

Takuma was convicted in August 2003 and executed on 14 September 2004."

(And, if I remember correctly, 7 of the 8 murdered were all 1st grade girls.)

The schools that do have the entrance like that are locked 24/7, and have either a guard there to let people in, or the 'parents' must push a speaker/camera button.

The Panic button in each classroom will automatically alert the police (which will definitely be there in less than 4 minutes) and set of a very loud alarm in each and every room at the school, where the teachers in the classrooms, or gym, will evacuate all of the students (usually to the playground (like we did for fire/tornado/nuke drills as kids)). There will be designated staff (usually not teachers, whom have to take care of the kids) to get what is needed to hand to the teachers to protect the kids (including the pole I posted a picture of). Teachers also go through a training session to learn to disarm a knife wielder.

Anyway, here is looking toward the back of a typical elementary school class (kids look like 1st (most likely, because their names are still taped to their desks) or 2nd grade):

(and from the looks of the class, that is 1 unhappy teacher, and a roomful of guilty kids that just got yelled at 😉)

Notice the doors in the back of the class.
The set on the left are going into the hallway (there is another matching set directly to the left of the picture taker, you can almost see the doors).
The doors to the right are the ones going outside, and when they are not in use, they are usually locked.
The panic button would be almost right behind the camera person, on the wall, along with the pole in the corner on the left (also behind the camera person).

Apologies for the confusion (it is kind of hard to explain without visual references).. 😝

My correction; I looked it up.. 7 of the 8 killed were 3rd grade girls (not 1st grade).

Thank you! Your picture also makes me think of the old “duck and cover” drills.

Perhaps school desks should be made with the shielding of students in mind, and drills can start again for how to arrange the desks to shield students from an attacker.

In any event, I believe that “security” in the modern school in the US has been perverted into something to make the “teacher’s” life easier. The kids are at risk, and if the “teacher” can’t or won’t defend them, then the children should be afforded a means of escape.
