Tommy Beres hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to give third-seeded UCLA a wild 25-22 victory over second-seeded Oregon State on Saturday in the Pac-12 Tournament.
The 47 combined runs in are the most in a Division I game this season (out of more than 8,000 games), and the last time an MLB game featured 47-plus combined runs was Aug. 25, 1922 when the Cubs beat the Phillies 26-23, according to ESPN Stats.
The win by the Bruins, who scored nine runs in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings, forced a second game between the two teams later in the near 100 degree night.

I have read that NCAA D1 baseball is roughly equivalent in quality to AA minor league ball. But minor leaguers play more games so can improve faster. Another couple of mill for higher education wasted.
Would love to see the smart schools go high performance intramurals for sports, and get rid of useless classes and majors.(like music appreciation, film/digital story studies, gender studies,)...would save tons of money...
Talk about a tin ear.
Combination of non existent pitching and a juiced up ball.
Not a pitchers duel

Watched the last two innings, OSU was up 21-13 at the top of the 8th and let them score 6 runs in the bottom and then tied it in the 9th.
Some highly drafted players have forgone the pros, to play three years in college. Many of the baseball programs (especially in the SEC, Big 12, and Pac 12) have state-of-the-art facilities.
Not only that, Being on campus earning a degree, chasing college girls, and in the case of Mississippi State and other schools, playing in front of thousands of screaming fans- it sure beats long bus rides to games where you have a dozen people watching.
My hub, OSU Alum...could not watch the last game...last night...OSU did win, but by the skin of their teeth in the 9th.
The Sunshine is what makes it great...going to Oregon State baseball games during the regular season is awful...cold & rainy. Usually.
Especially last year and this year. The past two years, it, the heavy winter rains have shifted to 3 months forward, to the spring. I got a rain gauge for Christmas this year, to prove it.
Yeah...we got it again yesterday...I am so sick of it, and, being in a 26 ft trailer while house is remodeled makes it worse.
