"If we're running a crisis-situation vaccination campaign in the future, we should avoid allocating just enough vaccines to push the population to herd immunity," Boni said. "Instead, we should purchase more vaccines than we think we need, roll out the campaign as quickly as possible, and push the total number of vaccinees well past the herd immunity threshold."

So, it’s President Trump’s fault. /S
Maybe if they developed a real vaccine.
“we should purchase more vaccines than we think we needZ”

follow the money
What’s “Delta Variant”?
A new kind of missile?
Chuckle.
How much is Pfizer paying these guys to push this garbage?
So even the concept of herd immunity was banned from discussion, but it was relied on too heavily? OK, got it.
First step is a vaccine. We still don’t have one for this cof.
I had 4 jabs of vaccine so far. I am age 82.
I have done 5 cruises since last september 2021.
And have visited stores 2 times every week.
And restaurants once every week.
And escort my wife for cancer treatments every 2 weeks.
And many visits to eye doctor, routine blood work at Quest,
covid testing at CVS before each cruise (required),
And many visits to Lowe’s.
Point is, I have been exposed to thousands of people since the first jab in February 2021. Why I never got covid symptoms, and tested Negative 5 times?
Was it the vaccine or luck or my natural immunity?
It can’t be luck because I have been exposed to at least 10,000 people.
Isn’t this the same university whose scientists put out the infamous climate hockey stick graph???
From memory, in the UK and Israel, more than 70% of the people infected with the Delta Variant were already vaccinated.
The solution?
More people must be vaccinated!
safe AND effective
I’m going to withhold my judgment on this topic until the Branch Covidians tell me what to think. </s>

I haven’t had COVID yet, either. I don’t cruise, but my wife frequently flies to other states, and she hasn’t had it, either. We have not been injected once, with these “vaccines”.
I think it can be “luck”. Did any of the cruises you took have COVID outbreaks? This bug appears to be seasonal. You can do a lot while it’s dormant and not be exposed, I expect. These surges we are seeing are the virus reaching what part of the population it can, while it is active. Not everyone is exposed each season.
I think the science says it’s not the vaccine. They know how vaccines work, and this one, pretty much doesn’t. It’s extremely narrow in what it inoculates against and doesn’t seem to really hit any of the strains except the Alpha one it was developed with. If they are not lying to us, and it could provide some benefit against the wrong strain, then you would still have contracted the virus and should test positive for it, I would think.
You posted this on the “Internet”, so it MUST be TRUE!
Going on cruises? Are you suicidal? (If you really went, that is).
I’m not calling you a “liar”, but I don’t believe you.
“Remember, the k in monkeypox is silent ...”
Very good!
The last I’ve heard is that getting the vax protects you for a 4 months (and falling), but getting the virus itself protects you for 8 months minimum.
So maybe some people will just get it once a year like a cold and other people like you just tend to not get colds. . .
I don’t think stores and restaurants spread the virus much. Cruise ships maybe, but only if you are inside a lot. If you stay outside on those decks I don’t think cruise ships are all that infectious. I think it’s largely about airflow. It’s impossible to transmit the virus outside.
I think the best way to spread the virus is in poorly ventilated crowded places with no airflow, and (NY showed this in 2020) subways and institutional poorly ventilated housing like nursing homes and prisons.
