Thousands of grandmas do this in this nation. Their grandsons don't shoot up schools. Why doesn't the media report on this? Because, it doesn't sell ads.
God fearing black grandmothers are practically the only ones preventing the complete destruction of black youth in inner cities.
Sweet.
Do they even still exist?
Average inner-city Black grandmother is 35 years old - meaning that she was herself a "feral urban youth" only a couple of decades ago.
The phrase "God-fearing Black grandmother" conjures up images of a kindly old church-going lady. There may have still been such ladies back in the 1970s - but today?
Regards,
“conjures up images of a kindly old church-going lady. “
Or Medea. :)
Black families had similar demographics with whites when it came to single parent households back in the 50’s and early 60’s.
Then along came “The Great Society” and the welfare state to “take care of families”. Guess what - with the government taking care of families, the father didn’t. Especially in black families.
Today about 2/3 of black children are in a single-parent family, compared with 1/4 white kids.
The real number is over 76%, but no one cares, so what difference, at this point, does it makes.
Correct-o-mundo.
As I recall, data cited by Thomas Sowell in one of his books I have show that blacks were slightly ahead of whites on the single-parent statistic in the early 1960s.
According to President Johnson and the Dems, that couldn't be allowed to continue.
Precious !
Where are the child’s parents at 3am?
Does he even have any?
And now Obama wants to make black males into homosexuals who partner with white boys (look at Don Lemon). Where will all the black females find mates? Will they become lesbians (look at Karine Jean-Pierre)?
Well, as they say -
"If it bleeds, it leads. If it burns, it earns."
Or Medea. :)
The daughter of King Aeëtes of Colchis?!
Regards,
Tyler’s Perry’s Madea.
I'm guessing that that is a reference to some item of Pop Culture from after 1971, so... I got nothing.
Regards,
I prefer to call it the "War on Po' Folks."
You haven’t watched TV or movies since 1971?
I don't generally "pick up on" or "respond" to American Pop Culture references postdating the 1970s (when I migrated to another country) - especially when they're misspelled.
I have a fairly good second-hand knowledge that I picked up mostly here at FR.
Do I now understand correctly that Tyler Perry is a Black man, perhaps a comedian - who was in drag in the role of Madea? And that you thought that the typical FReeper would recognize your reference without having to first consult Wikipedia?
Regards,
In this case, the mother was a junkie, he was doing drugs, knows what prescriptions he was on and who knows who was in his ear. I’m convinced these shooters are encouraged.
The child’s parents are married and doing fine. Grandpa and grandma have the grandson for the weekend. I think everything is okay. What do you think?
