So, well armed woman shoots and kills “well tanned” white guy. /sarc
I love this line.
“Instead of running from the threat, she engaged with the threat and saved several lives last night,” Charleston Police Department Chief of Detectives Tony Hazelett said.
This must be “fake news”, as the lady didn’t have a ballistic shield.
Too bad she wasn’t one of the police in Texas that hid from the gun fire. Every one of those cowards will live with guilt for the rest of their lives, as they should.
Wow, what a GREAT, amazing and TRUE statement from the Chief of Detectives!!
Police say Butler ... pulled out an AR-15 style rifle and started firing at people attending a party.
Perp apparently didn't hit anyone. At close range. With an AR-15.
Give him an "F" for marksmanship, and another "F" for taking cover from return fire.
May our enemies always be epic failures.
She’s a hero.
Note that 4 met their demise at the hands of armed citizens.
What I mean by that is that I can measure how fast my team responds to issues, measure how fast they resolve them and even calculate the cost of resolving them (labor + materials used). But when I come up ways for my team to PREVENT issues in the first place, it is very challenging and frustrating to justify the cost of these preventive measures with the higher ups.
We will never know how many lives this woman saved in Charleston, WV. Was it 5, was it 10, was it 20 or more? That we cannot know for sure. But what we do know was that her ability to take a preventive measure saved lives.
Unfortunately, we will hear constantly about the shooting incidents that took a lot of lives but never hear about the incidents that were prevented because somebody onsite was prepared to take preventive action. This is very frustrating.
