Trucks can be run without DEF. In fact, DEF deletes on late model pickups are very common.

DEF has a born on date on the box. It is best to use the freshest product you can find. Contaminated DEF can damage the DEF injector, which will put truck in limp mode.
All kinds of things happen. Truck only goes 5 mph, and if engine is shut down will not restart.
We have one truck that uses Def. The others all have the 5.9 Cummins. No def, very little emission equipment.
Gues which ones get the best fuel mileage.

It’s been around for some time. Certain years of the EPaed trucks were unreliable.

When you burn 100 gallons of diesel, how much DEF do you use?

Some of us have known this for years.

The Cleansing, when it comes, will be Old Testament in scope and nature.

My son heard about the scarcity and dumped his diesel last January.

Egads! Farming equipment, too.

Actually, not.

Ag equipment (diesel) does not use DEF.

My 2019 New Holland diesel tractor has never had a drop.

It depends on the load on the engine.
If you are working the engine hard, and using more diesel.
You would use more def.

1-2% DEF to Diesel ratio.

The urea will eventually break down into more basic components, one being ammonia.

Yeah, and the US produces more of it than it imports, too. But, it’s kinda fun watching everyone running around like their hair is on fire.

So, if Tom Donilon dies in an unfortunate car accident, will the problem disappear?

The Chairman of the BlackRock Investment Institute is Tom Donilon, President Obama’s former National Security Advisor. Tom Donilon’s brother, Mike Donilon is a Senior Advisor to Joe Biden. Tom Donilon’s wife, Catherine Russell, is the White House Personnel Director. Tom Donilon’s daughter, Sarah Donilon, who graduated college in 2019, now works on the White House National Security Council.

That explains who influenced the WH to halt shipping of all railroad grain and fertilizer products and related commodities (of which Urea would be one).

Will this foolish EPA requirement lead to the starvation of millions?

The FDA seems willing enough to starve our babies so why wouldn't the EPA do their part!?

Wonderful.

Electricity is free.

Did you ever stop to think how much it will cost to make enough electricity to run every truck in the US? Added to that every car?

And all of the hardware required to distribute it and the charging facilities? But it is all free, right?

But we should not worry. It is all free.

The monitor is every DOT inspection officer in the country. This includes weigh stations that do inspections at random
