Walcott was actually ahead on points at the point at which he got KOed. He was landing 2 - 3 punches to Rocky's one or two but, funny thing, his punches were not hurting Rocky and Rocky's punches were definitely hurting him, i.e. he was winning the boxing match but losing the beat-down. Backing up into the ropes against Rocky and then trying to wind up a punch was basically a bad idea.
