Governments have killed far more people than criminals have.

The governments that have done the most of that, disarmed their citizens first.

So, obviously, anyone who supports gun control supports genocide.

“If you have a better solution”

Free the kids and lock up the crazies.

Alternatives to public schools would make better educated kids and more parents confident their kids won’t get shot (”another reason to homeschool”). Those school taxes, I’d much rather they went to psychiatric facilities.

And yes, better security of course. Armed guards/teachers.

Israel: more guns, less terror, safe kids

Outlaw guns, only outlaws have guns.

There’s a reason why Democrats don’t make owning guns illegal and confiscate guns. One: They’ll get voted out of office. Two: No one would comply. A new prohibition era would immediately begin. Three: It’s unconstitutional. This lady should be raging against Democrat inaction rather blaming Republicans.

The real problem on may fronts is public schools. Get rid of the 120+ year old failed experiment and the problem goes away.

Having armed SROs in every school is indeed the correct and Constitutional solution. It is not, however, a magic talisman that will “stop” school shootings in the future.

There WAS an armed SRO on campus in Texas AND two other armed officers who engaged the shooter before he ever made it into the school. Yet he was not stopped.

The right verbiage is mitigate and respond and control, not “stop.”

There simply isn’t a foolproof “stop.”

"..the only way to stop school shootings is to have at least one armed guard in every school in the country."

He's got it wrong. There was an armed guard at the school in Uvalde. It didn't stop the shooting. The better idea would be to do what Texas state law allows and have armed and trained teachers and staff. There are over 110 districts in Texas that already do this. Uvalde is not on that list.

Fighting on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics.

Even if you win, you’re still retarded.

Until the 60’s at least, and maybe into the 70’s, the local high school had a rifle range in the basement back when the area was less suburban and more agrarian. The students used to bring .22 rifles and ammo to school to shoot in the rifle range. No one ever shot anyone. Maybe there is a connection?

This is a strategy that the Left preaches to the flock: Shout the opposition down and make them regret they ever engaged you. Isolate them by trying to smear them as extremists, racists, etc.

The overall strategy is not necessarily to change our minds but to cow us into keeping our mouths shut and not engaging. This then allows the Left to roll over us. You see this with the RINO establishment.

None of their proposed “solutions” would have stopped this school shooter or almost all the others.

That’s how you know those orchestrating these policies are not really concerned with stopping school shooters but instead with:

1) concentrating power in the hands of the government which they think they will always control

2) sticking it to their political opponents....the basket of deplorables who vote against them

The rest who go along with the usual talking points are people who go for knee jerk emotional responses and don’t think through their positions. “WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!” Well, everything you suggest will only make things worse. “Don’t care! We have to DO something!!!!!!....that way we can feel like we “DID” something.”

You missed a great opportunity—instead of debating them you should have discussed the importance of putting a sign on the lawn:

“Save the children. Ban guns. There are no guns here.”

(Hopefully criminals passing by would notice—and know what to do next... :-) )

If you have a problem with your house being burglarized, do you start a nationwide effort to try to regulate and interdict the supply of burglary tools? Or do you try to harden and defend the target by adding locks, alarms, etc. to your house?

Of course you do the latter: you defend at the point of attack. No other course of action makes sense. The same principle is true here.

I was unfriended by a fellow broadcaster that I had, and still have, enormous respect for because he didn’t like my opinions on political matters. My wife, a deep blue liberal (who has since marrying me purchased a Sig365 and obtained a concealed carry license!) has lost SEVERAL friends just because they are incensed that she’d associate, let alone MARRY, a conservative republican. Why does the left demand tolerance of divergent viewpoints and then actively persecute those with divergent viewpoints!??
