Yeah, you look at the top view, those muzzle breaks are right there even with the tank commanders head. Would not want to be shooting with the hatch open.
Of course the earplugs wont help reduce the Javelin concussion.
There are 4 variants to date of the BMPT.
the BMPT-1 has uncovered missile tubes 2 on each side stacked one on top of the other. The BMPT-2 has the covered fold out missile launchers, 2 on each side mounted next to each other. Both have a pair of 30mm grenade launchers in the hull next to the 2 crew hatches.The BMPT-3 is based on the T-14 ARMATA hull. They have 2 hatches in the hull side by side inboard of the 300 grenade launchers.
The BMPT-72 is a turret mode that can be installed on a T-72 hull and replacing the 125mm tank gun turret. It does NOT have the 30mm grenade launchers and only one hatch centered on the hull.
In the pics 1st is a BMPT-2, 2nd and 3rd are BMPT-72, and the last 2 are BMPT-2s.
