The woke wing, under the auspice of the Roman Catholic Church, really took off in the Vatican II bomber with what amounted to having gained certified theft protection to, over time, wholly reject Holy Mother Church, patiently rotting their own VII fruit and certainly attracting flies.
The entire Western Church came to flourish as modernist, neutralized, social, and critically non-Tradition. (Yes, a US church here and there is said to be “obedient” but still lovely and pious.)
The Apostolic Catholic Church of the Ages has been progressively banished and only recently rather fled to the hills with few defenders, but with the Holy Tradition firmly intact, their growth and vocations from out there in the hills, is astonishing.
It was apparently always about the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, being turned into a jolly banquet open to all, broadly ridding the ancient Church of ever again living and practicing as “a peculiar people”, and to generally celebrate less and less the saving act of our Lord, on “the way of the excruciating Cross”, His sacrificial crucifixion, His subsequent entry prevailing through the gates of Hell for the saints and martyrs, but now rather skipping to an atmosphere of happy triumph of His triumphant Resurrection which followed His saving Passion, and for happy unity between us RC believers, and Protestants, and onward to the kissing of the Muslim Koran and now the closed eyes to the Communist Party of China as it silences the faithful, replacing their Traditional bishops with communist figure heads, imprisoning the former.
The ghastly USCCB intends to continue falling into the final Bergoglio-Biden inversion of the faith and its new club, into a Western VII NGO.
I just wish they would get honest, change their clothes by now and call themselves what they are... apostates.
The US Bishops should just name it and claim it.
You’re point is so well taken. The faithful should defend themselves from sins of omission and properly admonish where and when dereliction arises.
Not everyone has the means, or wherewithal, to rise up, pick up and move out to a Tradition parish. Thanks be only to God, every hour, I did. After being a 21 year convert, Clete, I never-ever saw a High Solemn Latin Mass!
And priests for decades don’t even speak the liturgical language. I concluded the thieves were always after the Mass.
I would suggest that you still can write a letter to the offending parish and her priest, admonishing them for their insolence to authority.
The 4th Commandment comes to mind (honor your mother and father), here.
Run it by your priest and inquire of correct wording and citations...don’t ask for approval.
I’ve done such before.
They don’t like to be called out.
In my case(s), they never whined about my admonition to my pastor.
They kept on, keeping on.
At least my conscience was assuaged.
