A black trainee vicar was blocked from becoming a Church of England priest after a white bishop voiced concerns about his belief that Britain was not institutionally racist.
In the latest storm to hit the Church, Calvin Robinson, a TV presenter and political commentator, accused senior figures last night of torpedoing his planned ordination because of his conservative and anti-woke views.

He’s headed for GAFCON for ordination. That’s a win. Conservative Anglicanism is on the upswing in the States (after breaking with the Episcoplalians).

and the kids just opened their first college.

I’ve dropped a couple of bucks their way, but the kids have done all the heavy lifting. A beautiful thing to watch develop from this severely lapsed deeply cynical Elnnpiscopalian.
And don’t count the CofE out. Follow the Irreverend podcast. Three CofE priests host it. Good stuff.
He should immediately apply to the African dioceses. A lot of US Episcopalian churches left the national church and became “missionary Anglican” churches under African bishops, precisely because the African Anglicans are quite conservative, and not afflicted at all with woke.
On the plus side, the African Anglican church is growing by leaps and bounds, so in a short period of time he should get promoted from Priest to Bishop.
And every dime the American African Anglicans raise goes into building more churches in Africa. Both Anglicanism and Evangelism are growing by leaps and bounds there.
Guilt draws out the Indulgences. White guilt even better.
