The authors seem to think that a handful of adult victims of abuse who had screwed up parents is evidence that schools must teach nursery school kids about sex. But the authors (more on them in a minute) fail to acknowledge that few school districts have implemented controls and policies to restrict grooming behaviors (many of which aren't illegal) that often follows a similar pattern and, with regard to this article, are identical to what the authors recommend be part of the curriculum:

Victim selection
Gaining access and isolating the victim
Trust development and keeping secrets
Desensitization to touch and discussion of sexual topics
Attempt by abusers to make their behavior seem natural, to avoid raising suspicions.

Per a report, predators who go after children who are in seventh grade or younger are typically considered especially good at their job and can even be “celebrated” educators. Their reputations as outstanding educators shock school district officials and community members when the abuse is discovered. People cannot believe that such great educators could be abusers. The predators use being “great” at their job as a way to abuse children.

And if that's not bad enough, some of the systemic issues that have allowed accused teachers to get favorable exit deals and move to new schools with their reputations intact, where they may continue to abuse students...Lackluster prevention training. Poor record-keeping. Inconsistent policies from school to school and district to district. Union protections, costly litigation and disbelief.

About these authors, who NBC tacitly sanctions...Justine Ang Fonte "left" a pricey private Manhattan private school after it came out that she had shown a video to six-year-olds about little kids "touching themselves" for pleasure. Meanwhile, Ms. Carey is an "intimacy coach" who work with people who were brought up to be “good girls” release old-fashioned beliefs about what is “normal”, so they can identify and advocate for their true sexual pleasure and satisfaction.

Bravo to NBC for selecting this dynamic duo to defend the state giving sex Ed to 7-year olds, using uncontrolled grooming techniques.

Five, six or seven year olds should be taught in an age-appropriate manner how NORMAL sex works, by their PARENTS. Arousing their curiosity about ABNORMAL sex practices is part of the grooming process, no matter what the “educators” say.

“How can we protect kids?”

How about teachers go back to teaching “Readin, ‘ritin and ‘rithmetic”?

This reminds me of “drug awareness” education for kids. It actually helped increase drug experimentation, abuse and in some cases addiction.

Let’s give the left exactly what they demand on others and we’ll eliminate the problem. As every gun owner is a potential racist mass murderer with an assault rifle (whatever that means), every teacher is now a groomer suspect. Every teacher must wear body cams. They cannot even turn them off in the teachers’ lounge. There, groomers can’t operate in secret on school grounds, at school events, etc. Staff and administrators have to wear them too. Parents get free access to recordings at anytime. Saving one child from a groomer in public schools is worth the teaching profession giving up their academic freedom and rights, right? Oh... the NEA and teachers’ unions will sign up b/c they really care about the kids.

No, you are groomers and belong to the party of groomers.

“ In fact, our goal is the exact opposite: to make sure children have the skills needed to repel the tactics used by predators.”

Nice try, Groomer.
