Transient Ischemic Attack
brief stroke-like attack wherein symptoms typically resolve within 24 hours
My Dad suffered a couple of them fairly close together but was resolved with typical blood meds and had no recurring symptoms. It was scary though!

Medical abbreviation:
"A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is a temporary period of symptoms similar to those of a stroke. A TIA usually lasts only a few minutes and doesn't cause permanent damage."
