The recalled peanut butter was distributed nationwide in retail stores and other outlets. Recalled products include the products below with lot codes 1274425 – 2140425. Lot codes are included alongside best-if-used-by date.
Smuckers also owns the Laura Scudders Natural peanut butter brand. Could they be next?
Why do they want to contaminate it?
Wouldn't it have been easier to contaminate it when they manufactured it?
Glad it wasn’t Skippy! Just mixed up a tub of whipped topping with globs of Skippy dry roasted and honey peanut butter ... a peanut butter pie filling but I use it to make parfaits without the pie crust.
With lawyers these days, you can never be too careful no matter how remote the chance of contamination is
I’m a Peter Pan man myself, not in appearance mind you!
Wow. Just happen to have a quarter jar left. Had it for a couple months. Keep it? Throw it out? Make peanut butter cookies? Eh. Guess I’ll throw it out.
Tossed it.
in other words, do not take a sniff out of Jif
I prefer the Listeria flavor.
Of those 14 people what was the conditions where they caught the food poisoning? Was a dirty knife or spoon used that was contaminated? This is a knee jerk reaction that costs us money at the store shelf. FDA can shut you down just because. Remember we are being warned of a food shortage. Is this by design?
Thanks for posting. This is good info.

More of the New World Order’s war on the food supply.
I have one of these in my pantry within the lot numbers. In the trash it goes.

Here I was bagging up my 4-big jars of Jiff to head to the grocery store, when I broke long-standing tradition and actual read the article...
Turns out I will not be worried about having the urge to swim upstream after all...
The hydrogenated vegetable oil in Jif is like plumber’s putty in your arteries. You’d have to be insane to eat it. Smucker’s makes a very good natural peanut butter. The ingredients are: peanuts, salt. That’s it.
I actually just got called by automated message that i may have bought this JIF and sure enough i have 2 jars that are recalled.
Costco had the info. Pretty damn crazy.
Now i find out if im getting reimbursed!
Salmonella is nasty stuff.
SFAIK there’s no treatment, just probiotics, time and suffering.
My wife eats PB every day. She recently bought a pack of 6 jars - in anticipation of food shortages - and has been eating out of one already.
One listed in the “recall” list.
$28 straight into the garbage.
She’s trying to figure out how to get reimbursed.
Good luck with that.
Thank you. I just checked and have a few jars. I have been eating one of them for a few weeks with no problem but I’m tossing all of them anyway.
Just purchased with the lot code 2064425. Thank goodness I still have the receipt.
