Florida woman is accused of throwing a rubber snake at a deputy, one of several charges she now faces after a bizarre chase.
“Yeah. I think one of the takeaways from this whole thing is that there’s nothing routine about a routine traffic stop,” Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said.
Snyder said that routine traffic stop happened at about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. A deputy on a motorcycle tried to pull over a pickup truck when another pickup truck hit the gas hard. So, the deputy chased that truck.

I used to have one of those when I was a kid. A rubber snake, that is.
My kids had a fake snake when they were little. Ten feet long, a chartreuse stuffed snake with a red felt forked tongue. We named him Fermin Flexible. Everyone loved him.
This idiot woman has no style and is not even slightly clever. An idiot who deserves jail time where there are lots of rats and no snakes to eat them.

We had a fake snake too that was about that long but it was made of fabric not rubber. As we got older our mum used it under the door to keep out drafts.

Fermin was made of teddy bear material. Fuzzy chartreuse. I’ve occasionally looked at stores for another Fermin, but never found one. I fold up an area rug and put it under the door when it’s cold here.

I give her high marks for thinking outside the box, but low marks for evasion and common sense.

I knew a big strong man once. Was a contractor, 6’5” and husky. Probably be a tough opponent in a fight. A good man.
He would become a whimpering, drooling, shaking mess at the sight of any serpent. Even a little rat snake.
If not for the possibility of harm to the snake, I’d just throw a real one at them.
