Mr President,
I might be wrong about this, but the Buffalo supermarket massacre does appear to be a disgusting act of racism by a deeply disturbed individual, whose mind consumed poison when lockdowns cut him off from a healthier life.
It is possible that you, Mr President, do really care about the fabric of America as much as you want us to believe you do.
In my own way, I love that fabric too from a long way away. My dad served under General Douglas MacArthur in 1945 when you were a three year old. The values of that time and the lessons of that war have not been properly maintained.
But I have some concerns about current responses to the supermarket massacre tragedy.
I am also a little concerned that your 79 year old memory may sometimes forget some of the multitude of things that are "abhorrent to the fabric" of America.
So I have created the following little list of things that are of concern to me and of which you should be aware in so many of the decisions you and your team make.
1. Replacing the glorious love of Louis Armstrong with blatant BLM bullying is not a good way for America to move towards the future.
2. The second amendment was designed to protect the first. If you do not understand that, then you do not understand America.
3. Lockdowns killed people. We just do not know how many. Maybe lockdowns lead to what clearly appear to be this young man's deranged acts. ("..... he was bored at home with the COVID lockdowns and that led him to other sites that traffic in hate and conspiracy theories ....." - https://www.npr.org/2022/05/15/1099004689/the-shooter-in-buffalo-n-y-appeared-to-have-become-radicalized-online ) Should these new deaths be added to the lockdown death toll?
4. Robust freedom of speech is under threat in America and across the Western World. It is harder to engage in truly free thought and speech than knee jerk virtue signalling pontifications about things like this atrocity. If we are to understand why the deranged 18 year old man did what he did, we need to be able to study what was in his mind. That means reading his thoughts. That requires stronger freedom of speech than we have if banning his thoughts is our first action. Its a tough one. But you cannot solve a problem if you cant accurately identify exactly what it is. In a place like America that needs openness not more one sided "debates".
5. Anti white racism is IMHO just as bad now as other forms of racism. Was this young man ever a victim of anti white racism and did that contribute to the state of mind that led to these actions?
Mr President are you going to respond to this tragedy with sensitivity and care for all Americans or are you going to use it to make the divisions in your America even worse?
sincerely,
Ozguy1945 (the proud son of a WW2 veteran known to his mates as "Rick")
To be totally consistent, President Biden will make the situation worse.
Excellent. Ole Joe will never see the words or be privy to the sentiment. He is by any measure, a lost cause. This means those propping him up are a lost cause. We are long past due to ignore this vicious, ignorant rabble and move to a genuine American sentiment.
Just like shingles, Biden doesn’t care.
Starts a letter off with “Mr President” ..... wrong lead.
Should be “Mr. Thief.”
Actually the Second Amendment guarantees all other others.
Good on ya, mate!
Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy! Oi, Oi, Oi!
Did you send this list to Scott Morrison too?
Learn to communicate with a wink of an eye.
Democrat scum hate the fabric of America.
Personally, I’d go with “Mr. Pants-Crapper-in-Chief”.
