They still do the Leif Ericsson parade in Brooklyn every year - Brooklyn NY had a large Norwegian population up through the 1970s.

Maybe 50 years ago you could find more traces of Scandinavian/Nordic culture in the SF Bay Area, but they are disappearing. The famed Nordic House (originally in Oakland, moved to Berkeley) closed this January. I’ll miss it.
