A 12-year-old boy is recovering after being shot in a drive-by.
Memphis Police said the alleged shooter fired shots at a house where the child was playing, but the story continues. According to police, they took 35-year-old Latorya Lemons into custody for harassment earlier in the week. She was released the day before the 12-year-old boy was shot.
Police said she then allegedly returned to the same location, to find the man she is accused of harassing and allegedly doing the drive-by on. However, FOX13 recently learned Lemons may already be free once again.
FOX13 spoke with neighbors in the community who told us what happened Wednesday night in the 800 block of Faxon Avenue is not the norm.
“It really is a good solid community, but it is the hood, but ain’t nothing wrong with that,” said neighbor Cherryl Crite.
Police responded to the scene at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday in reference to the shooting.
“You’re shooting, and you probably don’t know how to shoot. You hit that baby, it’s not going to hit your target,” said Crite.

Except for people (maybe more than one) randomly shooting into crowds. And, like, crowds to be shot into at 6:00 p.m. on a Wednesday.

Seems like it. And now, according to the article, she’s been released, so obviously a little random shooting and repeated death threats is nothing worth writing home about in the solid community.
Yep, a really four-square community! No more than two, three drive-by shootings a week. But these amateurs who don't know how to shoot! There's your problem! More range time urgently needed!

but at some point, a move could save a lot of lives, as in, to a safe, quiet area.
The article doesn’t make it clear whether the boy who was shot has any connection to the ex- (plus all co-residents) the woman wanted to shoot.
Can it be assumed that Ms. Crite has never herself suffered a gunshot wound?

According to a police affidavit, Lemons was charged with two counts of harassment. She is accused of threatening to kill her ex-boyfriend. She was locked up and released on bond on those charges. After being released, police say she shot the child in North Memphis in a drive-by shooting that landed her back behind bars.
“It was like a back and forth of shots,” one neighbor recalled.

She looks like Little Richard. I wonder why she got let back out into the community. Or, excuse me, hood.
Note the neighbor is more upset the other woman missed her target and shot a kid.
Not the fact the woman is trying to murder someone in the first place.
Wimmin need to be jailed and kept in jail like men, should be denied bail or high bail just like men. They are given these undeserved passes and keep pulling this crap because “entitled wimmin”.

Another report of the incidents had a bit more info. “She” (if that really is a cis-female) had earlier threatened to kill her ex-boyfriend “and his child.” That was the first arrest for harassment. She bonded out and went back and did the drive-by, hitting the 12-year-old — presumably the ex’s kid. She was seen by a neighbor riding around in the passenger seat of a Caddy “with a silver gun.”
