The Women's Movement started when Eve was deceived, rebelled, and took from Satan.

Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
1 Tim. 12:14.

That is why regarding marriage, the Bible consistently starts with the wife submitting to and obeying the husband. It isn't spoken of today because this is not according to today's popular culture. The mode-o-day starts with the husband so the wife can surrender and obey him. But that is not biblical. The only biblical condition is "as unto the Lord" not "if your husband deserves it."

The rebellion of today's women against their husbands and men in general is the greatest social problem and the main reason for the staggering amount of divorces today. Nobody talks about it because it is so unpopular which is why there is no stoppage of the divorce rate and the accompanying infanticide, all promoted by the Women's Movement.

I speak God's truth. Nevertheless, let the flame throwing begin.

Actually, I have heard plenty about a woman’s duty to submit to her husband and precious little about this……

Ephesians 5:25-31 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because we are members of his body. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”

That precludes men cheating on their wives and beating them and the kids which are the major reasons the women’s rights movement got traction.

Treating women like property or second class citizens never was very popular with women.

You can lay the blame for the fall on the woman all you want, but it is still a continuation of the blame shifting Adam started.

Adam was with Eve when she ate. He apparently failed to communicate to her correctly God’s instructions about the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. She misquoted the commandment God gave them. Whether he communicated it wrong, added to it himself, she read more into it than was meant, whatever, he should have intervened then and there and sent Satan packing.

He didn’t. And even if he missed the exchange between Eve and Satan, when he saw her take the fruit and eat, he had the responsibility to stop her. He didn’t

God also tells us that the woman was deceived hence the entry of sin into the world is the responsibility of man, because he ate NOT being deceived, by a choice as an act of disobedience. (Romans 5:12-21)

Also, men have spiritual authority they need to exercise and are responsible for their wives spiritual actions.

Numbers 30:3-15 “If a woman vows a vow to the Lord and binds herself by a pledge, while within her father's house in her youth, and her father hears of her vow and of her pledge by which she has bound herself and says nothing to her, then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge by which she has bound herself shall stand. But if her father opposes her on the day that he hears of it, no vow of hers, no pledge by which she has bound herself shall stand. And the Lord will forgive her, because her father opposed her.

“If she marries a husband, while under her vows or any thoughtless utterance of her lips by which she has bound herself, and her husband hears of it and says nothing to her on the day that he hears, then her vows shall stand, and her pledges by which she has bound herself shall stand. But if, on the day that her husband comes to hear of it, he opposes her, then he makes void her vow that was on her, and the thoughtless utterance of her lips by which she bound herself. And the Lord will forgive her. (But any vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, anything by which she has bound herself, shall stand against her.)

And if she vowed in her husband's house or bound herself by a pledge with an oath, and her husband heard of it and said nothing to her and did not oppose her, then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge by which she bound herself shall stand.

But if her husband makes them null and void on the day that he hears them, then whatever proceeds out of her lips concerning her vows or concerning her pledge of herself shall not stand. Her husband has made them void, and the Lord will forgive her. Any vow and any binding oath to afflict herself,[a] her husband may establish, or her husband may make void. But if her husband says nothing to her from day to day, then he establishes all her vows or all her pledges that are upon her. He has established them, because he said nothing to her on the day that he heard of them. But if he makes them null and void after he has heard of them, then he shall bear her iniquity.”

Like it or not, men are responsible to God for their families and marriages.

I can’t help but wonder if many men would like Christ to treat them the way they treat their wives.

Marriage takes the effort of TWO people, not just some simplistic answer of how the woman’s “duty” is to submit to her husband’s demands like a slave while he gets off scot free of any responsibility for making the marriage work.

And you guys wonder why the women’s lib movement took off like it did.

Clueless…..

Metmom, I’ve gone fifteen rounds with you about this before. I present God’s Word supported by reason and common sense and you just side step it.

Your argument is with God, not me.

You and your female buddies are responsible for what you do including rebelling against your husbands and against men in general. When you and your female buddies stand before God, you will be alone - no man or husband to blame for your actions. You only seemingly get away with that in this world. But you and your female buddies are the sadder for it. Women have never been so lost, dazed, and confused as they are in this day and age and you’re certainly not helping matters.

IMO, you’re on the side of this women’s rebellion. The Old Covenant is dead. But you pick and choose the parts of the New Covenant that suits you and basically throw away the rest.

But sooner or later the truth will out and God will have his way. Nobody’s mad at anybody, but I’ll speak God’s Word and if you don’t like it, it’s really a matter between you and God.

I’ll try not to respond to you in the future since it goes absolutely nowhere.

Sure, if women were in complete subjection to men, this world would be perfect, right?

Men, faithfully blame shifting since since the Fall.

You’re making quite an assumption there about my relationship with my husband. You are presuming that I am in rebellion against him. Based on what exactly?

If you are going to slander me, provide some evidence for what you are claiming.

And besides, who ever said I was to submit to men in general? God’s command is to wives to submit to their own husbands, not all men in general.

There are countries where women are in complete subjection to men. Can’t drive, can’t vote, can’t leave the house without a male escort. What a paradise for you, eh?

Metmom, you tip your hand when you call me one of those "clueless" men. You and your Women's Libber buddies have taken then same fruit you ancestor Eve did.

I believe you and many of your female buddies see men as "clueless" and you of course are smart. I've noticed that's a common trait among these rebellious women. How can they submit and surrender to someone who is so "clueless" and relatively stupid while they, the woman, are smarter and know better.

And that's where Satan deceives you and your buddies and has you as he did Eve. Satan gets you with your pride. He always has and he always will.

As to you question,

who ever said I was to submit to men in general?

I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
1 Timothy 2:12

You asked. What good does it do? You throw out New Covenant scripture that doesn't suit you to your and you female friends' hurt.

Rots a ruck.

God Bless them. What a beautiful family!

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper

Now, I’m not implying that she is old fashion, but she doesn’t use a computer and is still struggling with an IPhone our daughter got for her for 2021 Mother’s day...

She says that she has all those messages & calls she gets from the grandchildren and great grandchildren to deal with
plus
cooking and house cleaning
plus
mastering the slot machines, once a week, at the MGM at National Harbor (40-min away) or Hollywood-Penn National near Hershey, PA (2.5 hrs away) or Hollywood-Charlestown Raceway in WV (2 hrs away)...

At 83 she may be slowing down a bit... Of course, being 5-years younger than me, she claims I’m the one slowing down...

The biggest thing she misses is bass fishing... Since she had a knee replacement, life in a bass boat is over...
We had, between 1971 and 2011, fished rivers & impoundments all across the U.S.
Our Ranger bass boat has sat mostly unused for the past ten years, stored at a marina on the Potomac River so it is available to the grandchildren and their kids for use... They all live somewhere throughout Calvert, St Mary’s and Charles counties...
