Not so. If it’s ruled “natural causes”, ie “old age” or disease-related, PA doesn’t require an autopsy, if family doesn’t want it done.

Scalia did not have an autopsy. He was away from home and the coroner signed off on his death without even checking his body.
I thought this was ridiculous given the circumstances of his death.
