That is awful!
a) This is awful
b) 10 yo shouldn’t have cell phones or at very least shouldn’t be on tiktok or have unsupervised internet access. Period.
Blame some app!..... What ever happened to parenting???
but social media managed to take down every Trump tweet in record time, and prevent many anti-vax videos from even being posted....
Is this done with a Tide Pod and an ice bucket? Or did I just start something?
This game was around seventy years ago when I was a child. I never saw the payoff in blacking out, besides my mother warned me never put anything around my neck, you’ll die! There’s no end to stupid things people do. When my son was in the Cub Scouts they had a toothpaste eating challenge. I told him he was going to sit this one out. That’s why children need intelligent parents, none of the other adults knew fluoride can be toxic.
"choked herself to death"
"She hung herself from a purse strap after seeing videos related to the 'blackout challenge'"
BTW, Morgana.. why should ANY parent give a “smartphone” to any kid (in this day and age)?
A simple (restricted) flip-phone should be good enough (for emergencies).. I think they also have tracking capabilities (for parents to keep them (kids) out of trouble).
Where are all those cheery folks making the argument that if you’re stupid enough to fall for something so lame, we’re better off without you.....?
I would never give a kid a cell phone, btw.
She hung herself from a purse strap after seeing videos related to the ‘blackout challenge’ on the app’s ‘For You’ page
...............
That is satanic.
I hate TikTok...it pops up on my Pinterest...which is private (no followers, no followees)
Their first thought is to sue the app? No child should be exposed to this trash. No kid should have access to it, or twitter, or any of the other social media without strict rules.
I forgot. Parents don’t make rules any more.
Trump was right about this garbage app.
Someone on FR posted links to Tik Tok the other day. I watched some of the videos. I lost about 5 points off my IQ, and I can’t afford that.
