State Attorney General Letitia James suggested she’s a strong booster of New York’s controversial no-cash bail law and said legislators should be “resisting the urge to overreact to spikes in crime” — by tightening the law without credible data.
James, the stop’s top law enforcement officer, was publicly mute this year during the bruising debate over whether to tighten the bail law — a tug-of-war involving Mayor Eric Adams, Gov. Kathy Hochul and leaders of the Democratic-run legislature.

Letitia is too busy pursuing the real criminal - Donald Trump to bother with the thugs on the streets running rampant.
Better just to leave the state.
Trust me when I tell you that you don’t want to risk standing trial for anything in NYS right now if you’re not a member of a protected class and you’re innocent.
James is another of Deep State’s useful idiots.
Folks can criticize her, but she’s not calling any shots and more than Hochul or BiteMe are.
Until NYS gets rid of RCV in NYC and we junk those RCV-enabled voting machines, we don’t stand a chance of getting back our state.
What New York Attorney General Letitia James isn't saying is that they don't have enough public defenders nor assistant prosecutors to try the cases. These criminals are free to do as they please because the legal system will not handle their cases.
What a world...what she is saying is.... this crime “spike” is allowable, actually engineered- its reparations for slavery and social injustice. The boomerang hasnt come back and hit her yet though. I always regarded NYC as a giant trash bag but there are no words any longer to describe the place...its hell on earth.
James is another Soros paid black woman undermining the criminal justice system. There are a slew of them across the country. The havoc they leave in their wake is devastating. Unfortunately, in NY, she is a likely governor someday.
There are more Blacks than Whites in jail as a percentage of their population. The reason for that is logical, they commit more crimes as a percentage of population.
There are two fixes:
1) Stop treating Blacks as reliable Democrat voters by keeping them on the plantation. Pass school vouchers and incentivize keeping families intact and preventing crime in inner cites by expanding the police and having DA’s arrest criminals.
2) Don’t arrest Black criminals.
That whole “cause and effect” thing seems to escape her.
Doubling down on STUPID...
This is occurring in most major cities of this country so leaving an area is not necessarily an option for most people.
