Conservative retired teachers like the author should form an association to set up small tutoring classes for limited number of students. I suffered a ruptured appendix in the six grade and lost a couple of years of schooling. My mother (who worked, my father was in the army [WWII]) found a retired teacher with a small class of four or five student who got me caught up so I entered public high school at the right age (9th grade started high school in Washington, D.C.).
