Not true. Eating a low fat (and thus high carb) diet, I was running 5 miles/day, 5 days a week and still fat. Going off carbs and enjoying fat has caused a big weight loss that has stayed off for 4 years - in spite of a back injury that kept me from running for the first 3 of those 4 years.

Much has been made of the “Mediterranean Diet”, but one traditional part of Mediterranean lifestyle (at least when I visited rural Italy) is that the main meal of the day is at noon. They have a light breakfast, a light evening supper, but the main meal is around noon, thus giving you the rest of the day to work off the blood sugar.
With so many of us working from home, this is more easily accomplished now.
