Here’s Reuters reporting the same: https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/ukraine-gas-system-operator-declares-force-majeure-sokhranivka-entry-point-2022-05-10/

non-paywall source:

https://thenewsdept.com/economy/65475.html

"It was noted that part of the capacity will be transferred to the Sudzha reception point located in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, in order to prevent violations with the European partners."

The article further notes that at the start of the invasion flow was cut by 80% and the cut is being done due to withdraws at the sites it cannot access which put the entire pipeline at risk.

GTSOU, Ukraine’s state-owned natural gas pipeline operator, said in a statement that it could not operate at the Novopskov gas compressor station due to "the interference of the occupying forces in technical processes."

The facility is in an area that is under Russian occupation, and has been since 4 March. The closest Ukraine controlled area is at least 30 miles away.

There is no paywall at Reuters that I see.

This is yet another ploy by Peter Principle Zelenski to force NATO troops into Ukraine to “secure the gas lifeline” to Europe that, “oops!” he’s lost control of. It’s pure blackmail. There’s no manipulation that’s beneath that little green rat, including nuclear Armageddon.

Not quite; the invasion wasn't cited by your source as the reason, but rather because of competing interest with another pipeline between Russian and Germany: "Recall that at the beginning of 2022 gas transit through Ukraine was reduced to a minimum due to Gazprom’s attempts to complete the Nord Stream 2 project. According to the available data, the average daily gas transit volume for the first 16 days of the year was only 52.4 million cubic meters. For comparison, the transit volume in the same period of 2019 exceeded 250 million cubic meters. m, in 2020 – 83.4 million cubic meters. m, and in 2021 – 124.6 million cubic meters. "

This would have been before the invasion began in February, for what it's worth.

And Ukraine was, for years, stealing 20 million cubic meters a DAY of gas that passed through its territory, because hey, it’s only the Russian Orcs… Russiphobia is a integral part of Ukrainian national identity. Now they’re going to try to starve out Europe to save their thieving arses.

Although the OP's source is undeniably pro-Russia, Reuters is also reporting on the same event, so how is it pathetic?

“Although the OP’s source is undeniably pro-Russia, Reuters is also reporting on the same event, so how is it pathetic?”

I didn’t say anything about that.

If you can’t tell why it’s pathetic, that’s pathetic.

Here's what's in the actual source:

Kiev cites ‘force majeure’ in Lugansk to halt third of gas flow to Europe, while Gazprom says there have been no issues that would justify the halt.

Russian gas conglomerate Gazprom has received no confirmation of force majeure or any obstacles to continued transit of gas through a junction in Lugansk, the company said on Tuesday, after Ukraine’s operator OGTSU announced it would halt further deliveries starting May 11, due to the presence of “Russian occupiers.”

https://t.me/EurasianChoice/13335

RT is still reporting, but here it is: https://www.rt.com/russia/555265-gazprom-gas-ukraine-europe/

Be aware this is up to the minute, so details may change. (But is it too early to say … the Ukraine is sanctioning Europe?)

Minor editorializing comment in the parentheses aside: what exactly is 'pathetic' about the content?

You’re pathetic. You should do hari Kari or whatever.

You’re a moron and not a serious person.

Or just trolling.

The first post (complete with the image of the knife used for seppuku) is entirely the OP’s contribution; you’ll note it’s not part of the linked source at all. If that’s what you’re talking about, then yes, I agree: not only is it pathetic, but it has nothing to do with the source material linked.

All that the source is reporting is the fact that Ukraine’s gas grid operator has decided to halt a third of Russian gas flow that uses Ukraine’s pipelines. They cite ‘force majeure’ as the reason why, whilst the supplier at Gazprom is denying any issue with the ability to relay supply. This is being reported also by Reuters, the S&P, the Globe and Mail, and other media outlets.

Is there any part of the linked source (Ukraine halting gas flow, etc.) that you find pathetic (which I dispute)?

Or is it entirely restricted to ganeemead’s intimation that Zelensky’s only honorable way out is ritual suicide (which I would agree with you as to being pathetic)?
