Sometimes when freeping late at night, the glare of a mostly white page seers my retina.

“Sunglasses After Dark”
your monitor should have antiblue setting
Probably not what you’re look for but does work :)
In Chrome, right-click on the page on select “inspect”. Then you can edit the HTML style elements to whatever color you want. Only works for the loaded page though :(
e.g. make these changes
body {
background-color: black;
}
body {
color: white;
background: black;
}

Okay, so I posted an olbigatory smart ass comment, but there is a way to force Chrome to show pages in dark mode.

Figure other browsers might do it, too.
F.R. is so bright, I got to wear shades.
I’ve used that, as Firefox is my goto browser for most things. In addition have this addon, also recommended by Firefox-
Dark Background and Light Text

Sticking with 7 until it breaks, if you know what your doing and use this or that program you can mod most anything.
IMO, Microsoft should have stuck with 7 and just updated features. Still getting some basic security updates from MS, am a pretty knowledgeable, use premium Malwarebytes. Keyscrambler and Eset Nod32 AV - all realtime protection, along with using some on demand scanners.
hey whatever works XD
I tried this and it works in EDGE.

The only dark mode I’m aware of are the few #NeverTrumper/#Fleepers that post their poison.
I use Firefox. Here is an add-on that you use a slider to adjust the brightness. It adds a icon on the toolbar.
