Everything always gets messy once kids get involved — especially when it comes to relationships and marriages.
This story is no different — a 27-year-old man and his 26-year-old wife used to have a great relationship until one night, the wife “got drunk, had a one night stand, and got pregnant from it.”
Now, he doesn’t know if he’s in the wrong for refusing to adopt a child that isn’t his.
The affair occurred five years ago, and although they almost went through a divorce, couples therapy convinced them to stay together and try again — with some arrangements to how they would go about parenting.......
The only person here who wasn’t in the wrong was the child.

I agree completely, without trust there’s nothing. Apparently this wasn’t an old boyfriend or co-worker or something, it was some totally random guy she picked up in a bar of all places. What is she even doing getting drunk in a bar when her husband isn’t even there with her? I’m just getting total slut vibes from this woman.

if he loves his wife, and they had some sort of "counseling" and he wants to stay married, then man up OR just get the hell out of town...
really tired of wimpy people that can't make a decision except make life miserable for the cheating wife and the innocent kid....

I know a woman who got pregnant by my best friend, when we were about 20. So he wouldn’t marry her. She finds another guy real quick, and they get married. Then divorced. I think he still doesnt know it’s not his kid. Some people have very dark secrets, that last a life time.
If he’s your “best friend” wouldn’t you tell him the child isn’t his? I’m assuming he’s paying child support.
Well whether he likes it or not if his wife was legally married to him when the child was born it has his last name.. He don’t need to adopt..
I don’t know why testing isn’t the first thing someone would suggest.
So by your definition a man who decides to help rear a child in a loving home and take on the responsibilities of fatherhood is a cuck by doing so? So stepfathers are cucks?

My advice, turn at the next light and drive off into the sunset, then keep driving until you get at least half a brain.
Here is a thought; did you marry your wife because she was a party girl you knew could get drunk and hook up with the next joe blow at the bar? Did that wild danger excite you? Then live with it.
Is you wife always using the kid as a cudgel to prove your fragile woke sensitive submission to her domination that will someday bring you to off yourself? Try to have one honest thought on your own instead of asking for a consensus from your equally damaged cohorts.
If you ever do make a decision on your own, then let that be the end of it with no second thoughts. Water under the bridge id just what it means. You should have done that five years ago.

I had a coworker some years ago who was in the same situation as the two guys you mentioned. He married a woman with two children. After the wedding she wanted and they couldn’t afford, he adopted her children. It wasn’t long until she filed for divorce (and paid her lawyer with his credit card) and of course he had to pay child support.
She was a real delight!/s
Wait until the kids old enough to want to be adopted.
