Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said that a number of Russian generals and leading figures were "turning in on themselves" as they seek to avoid becoming fall guys for Putin's stuttering invasion.
Russian generals are reportedly “turning in on themselves” as the war in Ukraine continues to go not to plan in an effort to escape Putin’s wrath.
Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said that Putin’s senior military brass were scrambling to dodge blame for the stuttering invasion.
He said they were blaming one another for the “disaster” of the war so far, and lived in terror of being purged if the “quagmire” turned into a retreat for the Kremlin’s forces, the Times reports.
Wallace said that military chiefs in the general staff were already scapegoats for Putin’s botched invasion.
He added: "Those in the military system were “always terrified they are about to be purged and pushed out."
Wallace made the comments whilst in Finland to observe a military exercise with British troops and tanks.
He also said that the generals were getting closer and closer to the frontline in an effort to try and “sort out this quagmire that they’re in”.
He said: “They do it by shouting and screaming at people but it tends not to get the best result.”
Most recently, reports said that General Valery Gerasimov, chief of the Russian general staff, had recently headed to the frontline in a highly unusual move.
According to a Russian news outlet, the 66-year-old general was injured by shrapnel during fighting in Izyum, eastern Ukraine and had to be evacuated.

When Ben Wallace was asked if Gerasimov was being sent out as a “fall guy” the cabinet minister warned: “They’re all in fall guy territory.

I asked for an example of their propaganda, and apparently you couldn’t provide one.
Their persistent claim that the president of Ukraine is a Jew and a Nazi at the same time would be Exhibit A.
Well, Sparky, you conclude that everything from the West is propaganda, and the fact you avoid any admission of Russian propaganda (which is ubiquitous), just shows your bias. Propaganda is universal; but you apparently think Russia is clean in that regard.
Well Zelensky is Jewish and they didn’t specifically call him a Nazi, they were referring to some of his Nazi troops.
Still can’t provide an example huh?
And you honestly think that bona fide Nazis would follow a Jewish president into battle? Really?
Well it’s been reported that the Azov battalion is being paid by the Ukrainian Oligarch Kolomoisky who is Jewish, so I guess they were willing to overlook that for money. And besides those Ukrainians being called ‘Nazis’ are called that because they were aligned with Germany in WW2 against Russia, so their definition of what constitutes a Nazis may differ somewhat from ours.

Exactly. Russia’s definition of ‘Nazi’ is anyone who is opposed to Russia, it has nothing to do with that person’s actual political philosophy. Yes, in WWII many Ukrainians aligned with the Germans but for very understandable reasons. Stalin just got done starving millions of them to death, is anyone surprised that they would align with anyone, even Hitler to fight against the genocidal maniac who tried to exterminate them?

The Azov battalion openly sport Nazi tattoos and insignia, are extreme nationalists who burned down a church in Odessa full of Orthodox Russian worshippers, and committed many other heinous acts against Russian speakers. If not Nazis what do you prefer to call them? They are the worst sort of scum.
And Putin is using the notorious Wagner Group, founded by Dimitri Utkin, a former GRU who is identified as being Neo-Nazi (he even has an SS tattoo on his neck or shoulder). The Wagner Group chose its name because of German composer Richard Wagner, Hitler’s favorite composer. Within the Wagner Group is a unit called Task Force Rusich, which is also reported to have Neo-Nazi sympathies.
Then why do they follow the battle orders of a Jew?

At least I’m honest, and say every country practices propaganda. It’s just that some are very proficient at it, and others are rather crude and clumsy about it.
But I’ve noticed that the pro-Russia posters on FR NEVER admit to any Russian propaganda. Isn’t that curious?

Not taking sides, but it seems appropriate to point out that you also made assertions without providing evidence.
