Joanna Barnes, an actress known for her roles in The Parent Trap and Tarzan: The Ape Man, has died. She was 87.
The actress passed Friday at her Sea Ranch, Calif., home after enduring "multiple health problems," her close friend Sally Jackson told The Hollywood Reporter.
Born Nov. 15, 1934 in Boston, Barnes graduated from Smith College in 1956 before making the move to Hollywood, where she appeared in such television shows as Maverick and Colt .45 before going on to play Jane Porter in 1959's Tarzan: The Ape Man.

Her most famous line, "Oh mummy(the widder Fenwick ),the Elly May look is now in".
RIP
She did several Maverick episodes. I really liked her, used to get her mixed up with Joanna Moore.
She was also a prolific writer, someone who really explored and used her talents well. May she be blessed in the hereafter.
She was funny in The Parent Trap.
She played Gloria in the film Auntie Mame, which was an important role. I can’t believe the article didn’t mention it.
Great scene!
She was in Spartacus.
She was in both versions of The Parent Trap. In the 1998 remake with Lindsay Lohan, she played the mother of the gold digger.
I remember seeing her in an episode of Hawaiian Eye and thinking she was so hot - and I was a kid .
