That seems to be a common belief among those who actually do get their ideas from youtube or some talking head.
In reality there is much more information available from other sources. Like actual images and video, or geo-location based off of satellite images and street view mapping data.
You can learn much more from Telegram channels, or Twitter posts from people in the area with first hand information.
